JOB DESCRIPTION:
Charbonneau Grounds Maintenance
· NO restroom cleaning.
Desire to work an 8 hours/day, 3 days on 3 days off. Which is approximately 32 to 36 hours per week depending on if you are a couple or single. We do provide a full hook up site so you can live in a natural outdoor setting, with your own RV.
If willing to commit to a full season of 23 weeks which is April 15th – Oct. 1st (to include both “bookend” holidays), volunteer will be eligible for round-trip long-distance mileage i.e., $0.67/mile in 2024 (TBA for 2026) if its 100 miles or more. However, not to exceed an accumulative total of $1000 for the round trip, between current residence and duty station upon completion of your service, to be paid in full after you have returned home.
If you are committed to half a season of 12 weeks to include April 15th – July 5th week or July 5th – Oct. 1st, volunteer will be eligible for a one-way trip long-distance mileage i.e. (0.67/mile in 2024, TBA for 2025), if its 100 miles or more. However, not to exceed an accumulative total of $500 for a one-way trip, between current residence and duty station upon completion of your service, to be paid in full after you have returned home.
· We will work with folks who have a shorter time frame in mind they just won’t qualify for the long-distance reimbursement.
· Desire to meet and interact with people from varied backgrounds.
· Physical ability to lift 30 pounds and carry for 25 feet and work in the heat.
· Beginning of season pick up branches and getting park and campground ready.
Campground and Day Use Area
· Mowing
· Irrigating – pressure tap in campground only
· Weed eating
· Pruning trees
· Litter pickup
Day Use Area Only
· Cleaning BBQ stands
· picnic tables
· cleaning two group shelters
· checking on the life jacket loaner board.
· Strenuous – due to irrigation pressure-taps and weeding eating
