JOB DESCRIPTION:
Ice Harbor Visitor Center (Address: 2763 Monument Dr., Burbank, WA 99323)
Spending the summer as a volunteer at the visitor center is the perfect opportunity for anyone who loves meeting new people and being part of something exciting! You’ll get to interact with visitors from all walks of life, sharing stories and answering questions while helping them have a great experience. If you’re up for walking a mile or more in the heat across the dam (hello, summer fitness!), you’ll also help kick off the season by assisting with school group tours.
Throughout the summer, you’ll give engaging tours—including special sunset tours on Friday nights that are as breathtaking as they sound. You’ll be the friendly face that welcomes guests, leads fun activities like scavenger hunts and water safety games, and helps kids earn their Junior Ranger badge. You might even find yourself running movie nights at Hood Park Campground or helping rangers with special projects tailored to your strengths. Along the way, you’ll learn all about the dam, wildlife furs, and more.
Oh, and don’t worry, there’s just a little light cleaning in the office (nothing too wild—just a sweeper and some wipe-downs). It’s a summer full of learning, laughter, and lakeside adventure!

· Desire to work 7 hours/day, 3 days on 3 days off, averaging 28 hours per week. We provide a full hook up site so you can live in a natural outdoor setting, with your own RV.

However, not to exceed an accumulative total of $1000 for the round trip, between current residence and duty station upon completion of your service, to be paid in full after you have returned home.
· If you are committed to half a season of 9 weeks to include May 2nd – July 6th week or July 6th – Sept. 6th, volunteer will be eligible for a one-way trip long-distance mileage i.e. (0.67/mile in 2024, TBA for 2026), if its 100 miles or more. However, not to exceed an accumulative total of $500 for a one-way trip, between current residence and duty station upon completion of your service, to be paid in full after you have returned home.
