Position Type: Full-Time, Salaried

Salary Range: $46,000 – $52,000 per year (based on experience)

Schedule: Tuesday & Wednesday off (preferred); availability for guest communications 7am-10pm daily

What You’ll Do
As our Front Desk Agent, you’ll be the face of Edge of the Desert and the go-to person for creating memorable guest experiences. This dynamic role combines guest services, property maintenance, and operational excellence.

Guest Experience (Primary Focus)

•Welcome guests with genuine warmth and provide personalized recommendations for their Moab adventure

•Handle check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries with professionalism and attention to detail

•Anticipate guest needs and resolve any concerns quickly and gracefully

•Create lasting positive impressions that turn first-time visitors into lifelong fans

Property Operations

•Maintain pristine outdoor spaces and landscaping, ensuring every corner of the property feels welcoming

•Perform laundry operations (washing, drying, folding) with meticulous attention to detail

•Complete minor repairs and maintenance tasks, taking pride in keeping everything in excellent condition

•Champion property cleanliness and set the standard for the entire team

Operational Excellence

•Utilize property management technology and help optimize workflows

•Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless daily operations

•Contribute ideas for improving guest satisfaction and operational efficiency

•Foster a vibrant, inclusive community among both guests and team members

Required Qualifications
Must-Have Requirements:

•High school diploma or equivalent

•Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

•Fluency in English (spoken and written)

•Availability to work Thursday through Monday (Tuesday & Wednesday off)

•Availability for guest communications between 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM daily

•Flexibility to work weekends and holidays

•Ability to pass a background check

•Legal authorization to work in the United States

Physical Requirements:

•Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)

•Ability to climb ladders safely

•Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach regularly

•Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

•Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including desert heat and occasional cold

•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions

Preferred Qualifications
Nice-to-Have (But We’ll Train the Right Person):

•2+ years of experience in guest services, hospitality, hotel operations, or property management

•Hands-on experience with maintenance, landscaping, or housekeeping

•Bilingual skills (Spanish or other languages)

•Experience with property management software or hotel management systems

•Previous experience in the Moab or Utah tourism/hospitality industry

•Familiarity with local attractions, restaurants, and outdoor recreation opportunities

Work Schedule & Environment
Schedule:

•Full-time position: 40+ hours per week

•Days Off: Tuesday and Wednesday (preferred schedule)

•Working Days: Thursday through Monday

•Availability Required: 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM daily for guest communications and support

•Includes weekends and holidays (when they fall on working days)

•Flexible shift structure with a mix of morning, afternoon, and evening responsibilities

•Must be available to respond to guest needs throughout the day

Work Environment:

•Work performed both indoors (front desk, laundry) and outdoors (landscaping, property maintenance)

•Exposure to desert climate including high heat in summer and cold in winter

•Fast-paced, guest-facing environment

•Collaborative team atmosphere

•Beautiful natural surroundings with mountain and red rock views
