Job Description
Big Basin Redwoods State Park
Available for October through March. Big Basin Redwoods State Park is looking for enthusiastic and reliable camp hosts. Big Basin Redwoods is located in the heart of the Santa Cruz Mountains south of San Francisco. Big Basin has the distinction of being California’s oldest State Park, as well as home to the largest old growth redwoods forests south of Humboldt County.
Camp host duties include assisting staff with fee collection, performing checks of the campground, providing visitors with park information, light housekeeping, map and wood sales, and reporting incidents and emergencies.
Maximum length is 37 feet for trailers and motor homes and 30 amp electricity, water, sewer and a landline phone are provided. Free Wi-Fi is available at Park Headquarters. The park is located 9 miles from the town of Boulder Creek which has stores, a gas station, and restaurants.
