Responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the campground buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds. Job runs from April 1, 2026 to October 15, 2026
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Perform basic carpentry, electrical and plumbing repairs, and maintenance to campground buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds as directed by the General Manager.Implement daily, weekly and monthly maintenance and cleaning programs as instituted by the General Manager, lawn mowing, weed eating, landscaping, garbage pick-up and various other campground equipment upkeep.Comply with all KOA, federal, state and local safety programs by adhering to established guidelines in the operation and storage of various equipment, tools, and chemicals, ensuring your safety, as well as that of fellow staff and campground customers.Provide superior customer service by being attentive, responsive and helpful to guests needs. Report all customer problems, requests or complaints to the General Manager.This job description is not intended to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities. EXPECTED RESULTS
Campground buildings, facilities and grounds are well-maintained and fully operational.Projects are completed properly, safely and timely.Demonstration of a positive attitude with guests, management, and team members.Use of safe work practices for a secure work environment for staff and campground guests.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Intermediate knowledge of electrical and plumbing equipment and installationIntermediate knowledge of chemical properties, handling, and usageIntermediate knowledge of propane and gasoline dispensingValid Driver\’s LicenseAbility to work nights, weekends, and holidaysCapable of working independently and as part of a team
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, lift and carry 25 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds regularlyMove, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistanceLong periods of standingAbility to bend, kneel, stoop, crouch and climbMust be able to operate various loud and vibrating maintenance tools and equipmentRequires the use of hands/fingers to handle or feelAble to travel by autoAble to work inside and outdoors frequently and in various climatesCapable of moving safely over uneven terrain
