Campground Host

Overview:

Coyote Ridge Campground is looking for a friendly, self-motivated Camp Host to support day-to-day campground operations at our quiet desert retreat near the iconic Fort Rock formation in Central Oregon.

This role is ideal for a workcamper who enjoys welcoming guests, caring for facilities, and helping create a clean, safe, and memorable outdoor experience. Owners will provide ongoing guidance and assistance, while the Host oversees daily tasks and represents Coyote Ridge onsite. Enjoy wide-open skies, rich local history, dark-sky stargazing, and outdoor recreation right at your doorstep!

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Services

• Serve as the primary point of contact for guest check-ins, questions, and campground guidance.
• Maintain a friendly and welcoming presence throughout the campground.
• Address guest concerns professionally and escalate to owners when needed.

Daily Operations & Administration

• Manage check-in/check-out operations and handle reservations (training provided).
• Keep office or host station organized and stocked with essentials.
• Monitor restroom and shared facilities to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Perform or coordinate light maintenance tasks (trash, minor fixes, grounds care).

Facility & Grounds Management

• Conduct daily walk-throughs of the property to identify and correct any issues.
• Promote safe, clean, and tidy conditions across campsites and common areas.
• Enforce campground policies respectfully to ensure a positive guest experience.

Communication & Reporting

• Work closely with owners to share updates on guest feedback, supplies, and any operational needs.
• Report safety concerns, equipment issues, and incidents promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous campground hosting, workcamping, or hospitality experience preferred (but not required).
• Strong communication and guest-service skills.
• Able to work independently and problem-solve with confidence.
• Basic computer skills helpful (reservation system training provided).
• Ability to handle light physical tasks and be on your feet throughout the day.
• Positive attitude, organized, reliable, and community-minded.
