Lazy Day Campground – Groundskeeper / Caretaker / General Maintenance
Location: Lazy Day Campground – Danville, MO
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (ideal companion role for Park Manager in a couple placement)
Accommodation: TBD
Start Date: Flexible – February 1, 2025

About the Role
Lazy Day Campground is looking for a grounds and maintenance professional to help maintain our facilities, utilities, and landscaped grounds in excellent condition. This is a key role supporting the Park Manager and ensuring the park remains safe, beautiful, and guest-ready year-round.

Key Responsibilities
Perform general groundskeeping: mowing, trimming, gardening, tree and leaf cleanup, snow removal (as needed)

Maintain roads, gravel pads, signage, picnic tables, and fire rings

Oversee upkeep of the pool area, fishing pond, dog park, and trails

Handle light plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs

Support with bathroom and facility cleaning, especially during peak weekends

Assist with holiday and weekend event setup, decorations, and equipment prep

Coordinate with outside vendors for major repairs or projects

Complete seasonal maintenance and prep (opening, winterizing, etc.)

Support the Park Manager with other operational or guest-service needs

Ideal Candidate
Background in maintenance, landscaping, construction, or similar trade

Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Enjoys outdoor, hands-on work in a natural setting

Able to work independently and prioritize daily tasks

Friendly and helpful toward guests; team player with the Park Manager

Comfortable living on-site and contributing to a family-oriented environment

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive hourly or salaried rate (DOE)

On-site RV FHU site included (tiny cabin may be available)
