Gate Attendant Volunteers Needed for North Park on Canyon Lake during 2021 summer season.

Gate attendants will have a primary duty of managing the gate house, but may have other duties also. A minimum of 24 hours service must be provided per week to stay a volunteer. You may be handling personal information of our guests and are required to pass a background check. Attendants must be willing to learn the R1S reservation software if you have never used it previously. Training is provided if needed.

Attendants will be expected to work a rotating schedule of every other weekend in the gate house. Some weekends are longer because they are attached to holiday weekends. The week you are not in the gate house, you will have other duties to cover the hours required. In exchange we will provide a full hook-up campsite which includes a covered picnic table, a fire ring, and a standing closable grill. You will also be provided volunteer clothing including a vest, name take, ball cap, t-shirt, Polo, and in winter a hoodie.

Summer work period is 01 April through 30 September. Winter work period does not exist at North Park. To apply, you must send in a volunteer application and submit the form for a background check. DUTIES
Open and close park gates on week you are on duty
Check guests in for reservations
Clean up and maintain gate house and grounds around gate house
Interact with guests and provide them guidance
Park Security: Keep out people when park is closed Monday through Thursday
Park inspections during week on duty
Minor park maintenance and cleaning
Remind guests to leave park by 2pm closing

QUALIFICATIONS
Understanding of gate house etiquette. Ability to use a computer. Knowledge of R1S reservation system, or willingness to learn it. Good customer service skill set.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
During your week as gate attendant you will be mostly inside the air-conditioned gate house. Some outside work when doing rounds, opening and closing park gate. Weeks not in gate house you will be outside dealing with the weather and doing minor park maintenance. Must complete 24 hours of service weekly to receive free RV full hookup site.
