JOB DESCRIPTION:
White Sulphur Springs National Fish Hatchery is a rainbow trout broodstock facility located in southeastern West Virginia in the heart of the beautiful Appalachian Mountains. The hatchery’s main focus is providing approximately 8 million rainbow trout eggs to partners across the nation. We also specialize in native species recovery and work with mussels and crayfish. White Sulphur Springs National Fish Hatchery is a facility within city limits with a paved walking trail and rugged hiking trail and high seasonal tourist and local visitation. We are looking for 1-2 individuals from April to October to assist hatchery staff with an assortment of tasks such as lawn care, landscaping, gardening, janitorial services, giving guided tours, and assisting with aquatic animal culture working with fish, eggs, mussels and crayfish. Time frame can be extended or shortened to fit your schedule. In exchange for approximately 24 hours per week per person, volunteers will receive full RV hook up for your recreational vehicle, to include level concrete RV lot with 50-30 amp service, water and sewer hook-ups. You must provide your own RV. No other housing is available.Please provide references.
