JOB DESCRIPTION:
Tuttle Cove Campground – Tuttle Creek Lake – Manhattan, KS
This position is located at Tuttle Cove Campground at Tuttle Creek Lake near Manhattan, KS. Tuttle Cove Park is a 39-site campground, with a boat ramp, a shower house, and three vault restrooms.
Park Host Duties:
Recruiting two volunteers or volunteer couples to work weekends and holidays, to:
- Maintain grounds (70%) – mowing, light maintenance, picking up litter, cleaning fire rings, etc.
- Maintain facilities (15%) – cleaning and stocking restrooms
- Assisting visitors (15%) – providing information, directing campers, and monitoring occupancy, registrations, check-ins and check-outs (no fee collection)
Volunteer will be provided a campsite in return for 20 hours of service per week. Campsite includes water, sewer, and 50-amp electric hookups (views included!). Volunteer will work weekends and holidays, with two consecutive days off mid-week.
