Job Description
Sylvan Lake relies on Hosts to help us provide quality customer service during the high use season which runs Memorial Day Weekend through late September. The basic duties of Hosts are to act as ambassadors to Park visitors, providing information, selling firewood, campground maintenance including cleaning fire pits and sites, and staffing the Entrance Gate to sell passes and permits. In addition you may be involved in any maintenance, environmental education or administrative projects that meet your skills, interests and needs of the Park.
In return for a minimum of 20 hours per person per week Camp Hosts are provided a site in the campground. The site includes water and sewer hook-ups. Propane and a solar system are provided to meet basic needs. There is no cell phone reception at the lake. However phone and internet access are available at the Visitor Center (5 miles). The town of Eagle is located 15 miles north of the campground. Opportunities available mid May through September.
