Built solely for recreation, Sweitzer Lake fulfills its planned purpose well. Visitors water-ski, swim, picnic, fish, boat, bird watching, sit on the grass, picnic, rest their feet on the sandy shore or just enjoy the day. Sweitzer SP Hosts assist in meeting the needs of park visitors and assist staff in ways that enhance park operations.
Duties include but may not be limited to the following: collect fees and dispense park information at entrance stations, greet visitors, assist in daily park operations, assist with light maintenance and grounds keeping (e.g., mowing/irrigation).
Hosts must reside in the park. A full service host campsite is included. Hosts are required to work a minimum of 24 hours each per week and are required to work on weekends and holidays. Each host couple will receive 2 consecutive days off per week.
Note: Sweitzer is a day use park only.
