The campground is open from May 1 to October 12, annually. Our busy season runs from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. The 48 overnight campsites are usually full during our busy season. The large, day use boat launch parking lot and small swimming beach are also very popular. We use Recreation.gov to manage reservations at the campground.

  • The number of hours worked daily varies, but averages about 6 hours.
  • Your schedule would require that you work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • You must complete and pass a Federal Background Investigation with fingerprints.
  • You would serve as a friendly, professional, reliable, fair, and knowledgeable representative of the BLM and our campground.

The BLM will reimburse each volunteer $30 for each full day duty shift worked.
