Job Description

Position Summary

Embark on an extraordinary adventure as a Park Host (RV) at MERUS Adventure! Live on-site in your own RV while immersing yourself in the beauty of nature and creating unforgettable experiences for park visitors. While individuals are welcome to apply, couples are strongly encouraged to join our dynamic team, as you can share the workload and enhance the overall park hosting experience. Get ready to provide exceptional guest services, ensure visitor safety, and contribute to park maintenance activities in a role that combines your passion for the outdoors and dedication to customer service. This is a 3-6 month position.

Responsibilities

Guest Services: Serve as a welcoming and knowledgeable host for park visitors. Provide on onsite source of information, answer questions, and offer guidance on park activities, events, and amenities. Create a positive and enjoyable experience for guests.

Safety and Security: Maintain a vigilant presence within the park, monitoring for potential safety hazards or security issues. Respond promptly to emergencies or incidents, following established protocols. Enforce park rules and regulations to ensure the well-being of visitors.

Help the MERUS Adventure™ team take responsibility for weekend event operations, including campground grounds keeping, restroom upkeep, event area maintenance, and housekeeping for onsite cabins.

Park Maintenance: Perform various park maintenance tasks, including mowing grass, maintaining campsites, and conducting trail maintenance activities such as clearing debris, repairing signage, and ensuring trails are safe and accessible. Assist with occasional light vehicle work, such as maintenance checks or minor repairs. Assist with housekeeping of our 12 cabins.

RV Living and Maintenance: Be comfortable living in your own RV or bringing your own RV to the designated living area within the park. Ensure the proper maintenance, cleanliness, and functionality of your RV throughout your stay.

Conflict Resolution: Address guest concerns or conflicts professionally and tactfully. Work to find suitable solutions that align with park policies while prioritizing guest satisfaction. Escalate complex issues to park management when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in the hospitality or outdoor recreation industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, empowering you to connect with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • An adaptable team player who thrives in both independent and collaborative settings.
  • Knowledge of park operations, recreational activities, and environmental conservation practices.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform maintenance tasks such as mowing, campsite maintenance, and trail upkeep.
  • Fundamental knowledge of vehicle maintenance and the ability to perform light vehicle work is a plus but not required.
  • Comfortable living in an RV for extended periods of time
  • Enthusiastic about working weekends and embracing an extended on-site living experience.
