JOB DESCRIPTION:
High Cascades Ranger District is looking for Volunteer Campground hosts near Prospect, Oregon. Applicants must have a personal Trailer or RV to apply. At this time, Farewell Bend Campground near Union Creek Oregon is the only campground where a new hosts are anticipated to be needed, but other opportunities may open as we get closer to the summer season. Incidental or per-diem based reimbursements may be available but this is not a paid position. Applicants should have a strong Customer Service interest and enjoy a rustic camping experience.
Host campsites include 30AMP electrical and sewer hookups. Cellular connectivity is not available in most areas. The expected schedule and and hours are Thursday to Monday, 9:30AM to 6:00PM, but please be aware that campground visitors may not respect these hours when seeking services.
High Cascades Ranger District is approximately 60 minutes away from Medford Oregon, and the is a popular area to camp and recreate for anglers, hunters, large and small group campers, hiking, Off-Highway Vehicle Riding (Prospect OHV trail system), and for those wanting an alternate overnight option when visiting nearby Crater Lake National Park.
