Location: Mt Carmel, Utah.
Zion Mountain Ranch is an elevated sanctuary just 3 miles from the East Entrance of Zion National Park, set on a roaming bison preserve. Guests can choose from thoughtfully crafted cabins and bespoke lodges and enjoy on‑site experiences including guided horseback riding, bison feedings, and Cordwood, a field‑to‑fork restaurant featuring ingredients from the ranch’s organic gardens.

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Groundkeeper is responsible for maintaining the outdoor grounds of Zion Mountain Ranch, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and employees. This position involves a variety of cleaning and landscaping tasks, utilizing various tools and equipment while adhering to safety and environmental standards. (Seasonal working dates: March 15th- November 1st)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supports a clean and tidy landscaping area, and all outside grounds and common areas
Custodial duties are performed for litter pick-up and a clean, neat, sanitized grounds, sidewalks, and company vehicles.
Help maintain grounds by performing tasks such as:
Raking, blowing, push mowing, tree trimming, edging, Mulching, planting, seeding, sodding, Aerification and general cleanup duties
Operate and maintain equipment including but not limited to:
Push mowers, backpack blowers, edgers, spray equipment, weed eaters, small vehicles, and sidewinder equipment
Use and care for hand tools and equipment issued on the job.
General cleanup duties and dumping of filled trash bins
Participates in separating waste for proper recycling and trash management program
Utilizes Computerized Maintenance Information System is CMIS to input accurate information.
Follows HazCom, HazMat, SPCC and OSHA worker safety standards, environmental safety, and maintenance department standards
Maintains and organizes work areas and follows OSHA safety standards
Participates in department and company required trainings and meetings
Communicates positively with management, staff and visitors to facilitate and nurture a healthy, comfortable, clean, and fun experience.
Perform various landscaping duties including but not limited to pulling weeds, watering trees, pruning, raking, and dirt work,
This position will also be responsible for the weekly interior cleaning of the company vehicles.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Must be over the age of 21 years old and possess a valid driver’s license
Must be able to withstand a range of outside weather conditions (heat/cold, rain/snow) including prolonged exposure to sunlight.
Ability to lift, push, pull a minimum of 70 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, knee, crouch, reach for an extended period of time.
Ability to bend at the waist and performance
Ability to perform tasks independently with minimal oversite.
One year working in grounds, our outdoor work; hospitality preferred.
High school diploma required.

Work Location:
Due to the in-person nature of the hospitality business, this position is on-site. RV space with hook ups are available at no cost for employees, limited employee housing at no cost is available on-site and commuting from the local vicinity is also acceptable.
Due to the nature of our business, Zion Mountain Ranch is open every day. You must be prepared to work a schedule which may include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
