Seeking to fill 1 Visitor Center Host/Tour Guide Position from April 1, 2021 to September 30, 2021.
Play a vital role for the US Army Corps of Engineers! We currently have 1 position as Visitor Center host at the Lower Granite Dam Visitor Center located near Pomeroy, WA. If you like people, and enjoy sharing historical information with a positive, outgoing attitude then this would be a great opportunity for you! This position will have an April 1st, 2021 start date with an end date of September 30th, 2021. Applicants must work 20+ hours per week per person with planned workdays consisting of Sunday, Friday, and Saturday. Some flexibility is worked into the schedule; however, applicants need to plan on working weekends and holidays. An RV site with full hookup and propane is provided on the serene Snake River.
DUTIES
Primary duties include, but not limited to the following:
- Meet and greet visitors
- Share information about the dam, area, etc.
- Give facility tours
- Daily operation of Visitor Center
QUALIFICATIONS
- Desire to work a minimum of 20 hours per week and live in a natural setting, with your own RV.
- Desire to meet and interact with people from varied backgrounds.
- Exhibit professional customer service skills.
- Comfortable with public speaking and giving walking tours.
