JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Red Rock Ranger District in Sedona, Arizona is recruiting Volunteer Site Hosts to spend 4 months with us (September – December, 2026), at Crane Petroglyph Heritage site. This is not a campground; visitors access the heritage site for its significant cultural and archaeological value. Hosts will only be on duty for six hours per workday during hours of operation. Due to the number of responsibilities, we maintain a strong preference for couples, single site hosts will still be considered.
Volunteers would make a commitment to live onsite in an RV or Camper, and work four days a week. The Heritage site has full RV hookups, washer/dryer (NOT coin operated), and refrigerator.
Site host duties include, welcoming visitors, archaeological site interpretation, gift shop operations, and maintaining/cleaning visitor center and grounds. Site hosts will receive training on heritage site management and interpretive techniques by Forest Service and Friends of the Forest Sedona personnel.
