Job Description
LePage Park is five miles east of the John Day Dam, managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers, on I-84 in Oregon.
Two hosts are needed, either two individuals, or two couples.
Duties include visitor services, litter pickup, light outdoor maintenance, light maintenance of restrooms and shower facilities with support from the Ranger staff.
Schedule: Volunteer camp hosts are expected to be on duty a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Environment: Small pleasant family campground and day-use areas with swim beach and boat ramp. Campsite with electric, water and sewer are provided.
DUTIES
Visitor Services, litter pickup, light outdoor maintenance, light maintenance of restrooms and shower facilities with support from the Ranger staff.
- Good people skills
- Ability to lift objects up to 30 pounds
- Ability to bend, lift, and retrieve small objects from the ground
- Ability to stay on feet for 30 minutes at a time
- Ability to perform non-strenuous duties for brief periods when outdoor temperatures reach 100 degrees Fahrenheit
