Job Description
Hidden away in deep east Texas, beautiful Martin Dies, Jr. State Park is located on the western edge of Jasper county on Lake B.A. Steinhagen. The 11,000 acre lake is teeming with wildlife. It offers many areas to explore by boat, canoe or kayak. Imagine spending your free time paddling the backwaters through the stands of cypress trees. Fishing, birdwatching, hunting and hiking are all activites that Hosts enjoy at Martin Dies, Jr. State Park
In exchange for 25 hours of service each week, Park Hosts are provided a full hook-up campsite that includes 50amp/30amp electrical service, water and sewer. Additionally, Park Hosts have access to free on-site laundry facilities.
Park Hosts’ duties include:
– Campsite checks
– Cleaning facilities and campsites
– Maintenance to facilities and grounds
– Projects to improve the park
All applicants must be 21 years old or older. Minimum 2 month committment required. Criminal backgound check required.
