Job Description
Lake Tawakoni State Park is looking for volunteers to commit 24 hours per week. Park Hosts live on-site. This opportunity is available year round. Flexible schedule.
Number of Volunteers Needed: 10
Minimum Age of Volunteers: 21
Criminal background check required.
The park features multiple boat ramps, fishing and boating, geocaching, over 5 miles of hike/bike trails, and a protected swimming cove.
Park Hosts at Lake Tawakoni have an array of duties, including:
– Picking up trash in the day use area and in the camping loops
– Cleaning restrooms, which includes re-stocking paper dispensers, replacing light bulbs, window cleaning, picking up litter and mopping the floors
– Other duties may include bagging ice and stocking the ice merchandiser, possibly weed-eating and blowing leaves out of camp sites, painting signs, trail maintenance, etc.
