Job Description
The Opportunity
Delaware North Parks & Resorts is seeking a Retail Admin Clerk to join our team for the 2021 season at Yellowstone General Stores in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. In this role you will provide support to our retail operations and team by performing clerical and administrative tasks.
We are seeking candidates with a passion for the outdoors and guest service that enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. We have dorm-style housing and RV Sites available. We also offer an employee meal program, store discounts, and recreational activities for our associates.
Responsibilities
- Develops, maintains, and updates filing system for the retail vendors, including filing of purchase orders and all vendor catalogs.
- Inputs all new retail items into retail system and consults with buyer on item details including description, price points etc.
- Inputs all purchase orders into retail system per requests from the buyer on a daily basis and is responsible for sending purchase orders to vendors and any communication regarding order after initial send off.
- Maintains consistent and frequent communication with retail vendors concerning orders, price changes, and miscellaneous issues concerning retail operations.
- Communicates with vendors when buyer is not available, and takes messages in buyer’s absence.
- Assists with initial setup process of new retail vendors.
- Runs weekly and sometimes daily retail sales reports per requests from the buyer.
- Assists with the printing and execution of the approved signage program for the retail department.
- Inputs product transfer lists as requested from buyer and communicates needs to receiving associates. Follows up on timeline for task completion.
- Maintains purchasing log on a regular basis, which consists of entering and logging all purchase orders with ship dates and total cost per store location.
- Process online store orders, packages for shipping, maintain stock levels of online store.
- Process refunds/returns for online store if necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in administrative or office position, including experience with office administrative procedures, use and operation of standard office equipment.
- Previous experience with variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of general retail practices and procedures essential to daily functioning of retail locations.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to sit in front of a computer.
- Manual dexterity sufficient for cash handling and typing duties.
- Visual acuity sufficient to see and distinguish required reports and computer system.
- Occasional bending, reaching, climbing on step stool, lifting.
- Occasional lifting and carrying, up to 40 lbs.
- Occasional pulling/pushing of carts.
