The Opportunity
Delaware North Parks & Resorts is seeking Cash Room Cashiers to join our team for the 2021 season at Yellowstone General Stores in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.
Our ideal candidate is detail oriented and meticulous at record keeping. As a Cash Room Clerk, you’ll be responsible for all counting, balancing, and reconciling of cash and credit card payments.
We are seeking candidates with a passion for the outdoors and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. We have dorm-style housing and RV Sites available. We also offer an employee meal program, store discounts, and recreational activities for our associates.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile all cash drawers and safe counts.
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures are being followed by all team members.
- Properly handle team member cash outs on a shift basis and report any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate financial records.
- Ensure accurate accounting of all transactions, collections, and disbursements during work shift.
- Prepare change orders as necessary.
- Work with management team on loss prevention strategy.
- Identify gaps in proper cash handling procedures and report findings to leadership.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Processes an extremely high level of integrity.
- Prior experience handling large sums of money with extreme accuracy.
- Has a detective mentality when investigating cash discrepancies.
- Excellent accounting and general math skills.
Physical Requirements
- Consistently lifting, moving, and pushing 50 lbs.
