Wildlife Host (Clear Creek Reservoir SWA)

Clear Creek Reservoir is an easy-to-reach 407 acre lake to between Buena Vista and Leadville. If you’re searching for a rustic style of living with breathtaking mountain scenery, this SWA is for you! In addition to boating and camping, the lake offers excellent fishing for rainbow, cutthroat, and brown trout. Tiger muskie and kokanee salmon are common as well. Other available activities include miles of hiking trails, historic ghost towns, hunting, OHV roads, easy access to surrounding public lands, birding, and nearby bighorn sheep viewing.

Camp hosts will assist with managing a free camping area. This includes but is not limited to answering general questions and maintaining the area, including one vault toilet.

Dates needed: Memorial through Labor Day

Minimum stay requirements: 6-8 weeks

Hours required per person, per week: 16

Amenities Available: There is a vault toilet onsite, but no other current amenities. Hosts should have a self sustaining camper.
