A Maintenance Volunteer is a very important volunteer at Burnsville Lake. During recent years, dwindling budgets and reduced project staffing have caused many necessary maintenance jobs to go undone. Maintenance Volunteers shall work a minimum of 24 hours per week performing various maintenance work to include assisting the existing maintenance staff with such tasks as painting and staining; carpentry work (repair/replace rotted or damaged boards on tables, fences, etc.); repair or replace fixtures in park restrooms and shower facilities; repair or replace tables, grills, lantern hangers, impact timbers, etc., on campsites; plant and water flowers and weed flowerbeds; plant and prune trees and shrubs; pick up litter and drift throughout the project and debris along the shoreline; maintain bulletin boards; and other maintenance duties .
Person is responsible for working a minimum of 24 hours per week assisting the maintenance staff at Riffle Run Campground and/or Bulltown Campground.
Ideally the person will have maintenance related experience ranging from equipment operation to hand and power tool usage.
