The Details:
Positions start early to late May 2021 and extend through mid- to late-September (dates depend on Location).
- Start Date: May, 2021
- Employment Type: Full Time, Seasonal (ideally full season or early/late season)
- Schedule: Varies – 40+ hours per week.

Responsibilities
A day in the life of the Shuttle Driver
- Operate equipment in a safe and proper operation all weather conditions.
- Maintaining professionalism while working outdoors in extreme weather and during vehicle break-downs.
- Quotes costs of fares, issues tickets and receives payment. Responsible for balancing cash.
- Assisting with guest and employee luggage and the loading and unloading of the luggage.
- Responsible for a clean and neat appearance in the approved uniform.
- Responsible for cleaning, fueling and ensuring vehicle is safe before and after each shift.
- Must accurately complete all daily DOT paperwork and reports each shift and file them according to policy.
Qualifications
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
Our Shuttle Drivers must have the ability to communicate effectively with guests and all other co-workers. This position must practice courteous guest service while keeping shuttles on a time schedule, and remaining punctual. As a Driver, this position may drive up to 10 hours driving (15 hours total work) on various types of road conditions.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit, stand, stretch, and bend for up to a 15 hour day. (typically 8-10 hours)
- Possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License, pass DOT phyiscal exam and pre-employment drug screen, and comply with the Xanterra Driver Safety Program.
- Able to work outdoors in variable weather (including rain, sleet, snow, direct sunlight, high winds, and temperatures ranging from 0 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Simultaneously steer a vehicle, shift its transmission, operate accelerator and brake pedals, and provide customer service while driving in heavy traffic.
- Ability to help guest in and out of the vehicle.
- Able to load and unload guest luggage several times a day at elevations ranging from 3,500 feet to 6,700 feet above sea level.
- Drivers must be at least 18 years of age.
