About Glacier National Park:

The Details:

Positions start May 2021 and extend through mid-September (dates depend on Location).

  • Start Date: May 2021
  • Employment Type: Full Time, Seasonal (ideally full season or early/late season)
  • Schedule Varies: 32 – 45 hours per week.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of the Pantry/Cook

  • Production and service of cold foods and desserts in the absence of Panty Supervisor.
  • Communicate closely with Pantry Supervisor and chef on duty.
  • During peak service times, assist attendants with plating items for service.
  • Monitors guest buffets and cold bars to ensure all items are available and presentable.
  • Maintain Xanterra standards of sanitation throughout pantry/salad areas of the kitchen.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

Our Pantry/Cook should have a working knowledge of basic cooking, baking, and dessert practices. This position must be adaptable to a high volume kitchen operation, and be able to remain calm in a high stress environment is essential for these positions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, approximately 8 hours.
  • Must be able to walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods of time.
