The Details:

Positions start May 2020 and extend through mid- to late-September, 2021 (dates depend on Location).

  • Start Date: May, 2021
  • Employment Type: Full Time, Seasonal (ideally full season or early/late season)
  • Schedule: Varies – 32 – 45 hours per week.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of the Houseperson:

  • Assist Room Attendants making sure guest rooms, public areas, and the hotel premises are clean and orderly manner performed by a combination of tasks.
  • Respond quickly to guest requests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in guest rooms or public areas.
  • Properly stock linen closets and housekeeping carts with cleaning and room supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping vacuums, closets, storage rooms, and other equipment.
  • Make sure Personal Protective Equipment is being followed at all times.
  • Follow Company and departmental environmental practices, safety practices, and policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

Our Houseperson will have a great eye for details to ensure quality expectations and standards. Seeking someone with the ability to basic math and to work well with others. This candidate can speak with others using clear and professional language. Houseperson position will have the ability to support housekeeping team to reach common goals. Valid U.S. Driver License and clean driving record preferred.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds as needed throughout the day. Constant lifting and carrying of supplies and linens throughout the day.
  • Making beds, bending, kneeling, stretching, and reaching as needed for up to 8 hours per shift.
  • Standing for long periods of time, frequent walking up and down stairs, as well as in outdoor areas sporadically throughout the day.
  • Pushing a hotel cart or cabin cart up to 50-75 pounds as needed.
  • Working safely with required chemicals.
