Utah Recreation Company is seeking friendly and hard-working individuals and teams to be camp hosts for our 2021 season! This is an exciting opportunity to work in the hospitality field while spending time outdoors and assisting campers.
We have opportunities for both individuals and teams! If you are applying to work as a team, each person needs to complete a separate application with a unique email address.
Our recruiting and onboarding process involves phone, email, and online communications. All new hires will report to our Pleasant Grove office on their first day of work for an orientation meeting.

ABOUT YOU:
All candidates will need to submit a picture of their RV or Camper before an offer of employment may be made. Instructions for submission will be given upon passing the interview process.
Experience in the recreation industry preferred
Knowledgeable about visitor services and amenities in the forest and campground
Strong communication and organization skills
Positive attitude toward the campground environment
Genuine concern for guests’ experience
Ability to work unsupervised
Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment
Must possess a valid driver license with a clean 3-year history and no DUI convictions in the past 10 years (you will be asked to provide a DMV printout upon hire).
Ability to either stay on-site in a well-maintained personal RV or camper (preferred) or ability to commute to your site each day (applicants planning to stay on-site will be considered first).
JOB DUTIES:
Greet arriving guests, assist with check-in and check-out
Take an active role in seeing that facilities and equipment are properly maintained and used appropriately
Clean fire pits, bear-lockers campsites, parking areas, and roadways
Clean restrooms as per housekeeping schedule
Ensure vehicle procedures are followed in the use of assigned vehicles
Know, understand, and follow established rules and standards for housekeeping and sanitation
Monitor campground and handle any concerns or questions from guests
Sell company-provided firewood, if applicable to location
Be a friendly and helpful resource to visitors
Enforce campground rules and regulations
Resolve conflicts among campers and report problems to management as needed
Collect payment from campers and envelopes from fee tubes
Weed trimming and lawn mowing
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Knowledgeable about visitor services and amenities in the forest and campground.
Able to work weekends, nights and holidays
Strong communication skills
Positive attitude toward the campground environment
Genuine concern for guests camping/lodging experience
Able to work unsupervised
Able to follow direction and work in a team environment
Valid Driver’s License with a clean 3-year history, and no DUI within the past 10 years.
Able to reside in a personal RV that is less than 20 years old
Preferred:
Experience in the recreation industry
Be a willing member of The California Parks Company, performing all duties and functions as assigned to the best of his/her ability.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
The Camp Host will use various tools and equipment on a daily basis. Footwear required shall be a work boot or a high-quality athletic shoe providing ankle support. No open toe sandals or flip-flops will be allowed on the job. The Camp Host will be knowledgeable in the safety practices and standards set by the Company, relative to the work environment he/she operates in. He/she will also make it a duty to assure that all co-workers are working with those same safety practices and standards.
