Job Description

Position is for April-October, Friday-Sunday and Holiday weekends

Summary of Job Purpose
The primary responsibility of a Campground Host is to ensure the security of the campground, including greeting guests and providing information about the campground and facilities, and enforcing Rules and Regulations. Campground Host must set and example by being a model guest by practicing good housekeeping at all times in and around their assigned unit and by observing all rules and regulations.

 

Compensation: Camp host will live at campground, rent free during time of employment. (Must have own camper)

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Campground Host is expected to comply with all campground Host duties, company policies and procedures. They must be observant for activities within the campground requiring immediate attention and communicate to supervisor.

Must perform the following:

– Greet guests and answer any questions that they may have.

– Manage camp store

-Explain the campground layout and direct guests to campsites.

Enforcement of Rules and Regulations

– Maintain a neat and orderly campsite and work area.

-Assist other employees when asked.

– Maintain and clean restroom facilities

-Knowledge of where tools and supplies are located.

Job Qualifications

– Ability to work with others, be well groomed and present a good public image.

-Provide quality customer service.

-Ability and Willingness to live at Campground Friday-Sunday and some holidays

-Ability to communicate well with others, both verbally and written. Must possess strong conflict resolution skills.

-Must possess a general knowledge of cashier/accounting principles.

-Possess ability to multi-task, work independently.

-Ability to lift heavy objects and perform routine cleaning task.

-Good manual and physical dexterity and good physical fitness.

-Be punctual, honest, trustworthy and possess good judgment

-Must possess a valid driver’s license.
