Job Description
Seeking Hosts for a 15-week Sessions: early April to Mid-July or Mid-July to Mid-November at The Cradle of Forestry in Pisgah National Forest, North Carolina. Hosts are on duty 3 days/week (3 on and 4 off consecutive days) and are primarily responsible for greeting visitors with rotational assignments at the Fee Gate, Information Desk, Exhibit Hall, Historic Buildings, Gift Shop, and living history trail programs. Hosts will assist staff with daily operations, coordinate programming and special events with FIND Outdoors Managers and USFS personnel, and contribute to the safe and attractive operation of all grounds, facilities, historic buildings/collections, and equipment with a focus on sustainability and green practices, where appropriate.
Hosts are provided sites with full hook-up (50 amp e/s/w); on-site laundry/showers; community building with kitchen, internet and cell service; uniform shirts and gift shop discount. Physical Location: 11250 Pisgah Highway, Pisgah Forest, NC 28768. It is 4 miles south of the Blue Ridge Parkway at Milepost 412.
