This is a seasonal and part-time position.

We pay this position $700.00 per month (pro rated for partial months) with the county providing a cell phone along with water, power, propane, and waste services for the camp host while staying in the RV Park. Apply online at www.twinfallscounty.org.

Job Description:
The Seasonal Camp Host is onsite to answer questions and provide information to the public regarding the RV Park. Assists the Parks Department with reservations and maintenance of the park and notifies law enforcement of any violations of law occurring on County Property.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • To represent Twin Falls County Parks and Waterways in an appropriate manner in appearance and attitude.
  • To answer questions. Provide information and assistance to visitors and to serve as liaison between campers and county.
  • To have good communication skills.
  • To abide by and oversee campground Rules and Regulations.
  • To perform very minor campground maintenance as needed and under the direction of Parks and Waterways staff or the Director.
  • To maintain daily, weekly, and monthly camper use records. Parks personnel will collect the fees from fee boxes on a regular basis.
  • To notify Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Department concerning all law violations witnessed on county property.
  • To collect data on any accidents that may occur and report to the Twin Falls County Parks and Waterways Office.
  • To make and administer reservations made for RV spots by individuals visiting the campgrounds.

 

Qualifications:

  • Past experience with camp host positions would be preferred.
  • Provide their own self-contained RV to live in on site during scheduled shifts.
  • Work schedule is Wednesday am. thru Sunday night. Monday and Tuesday off.
  • Ability to walk or move over uneven terrain and use walkways and able to check stationary and floating docks.
  • Have a valid Id. Driver’s license.
  • Basic book keeping skills.
  • Lift at least 30 # from the ground.
  • Good public relation skills.

Ability to enforce rules and regulations and deal with difficult situations with the general public.
Ability to work with Parks lead and staff, as well as communicating and accepting directions from the Administrative Assistant and Director
