Currently we are looking for visitor center attendants and/or maintenance workers. Visitor Center volunteers are expected to greet guests, answer phones, stock brochures, run cash register for gift store, feed animals, operate video equipment, & any other general tasks needed. Training provided. Maintenance workers are expected to help with mowing, trimming, carpentry, trail maintenance, tractor operation (if trained), and any other general duties. Training provided. Resident volunteers must provide their own RV, be willing to volunteer 24 hours/week per couple (32 hours/week for single) and commit to stay for a minimum of 3 months. What the refuge provides: 15′ x 40′ concrete RV pad equipped with water, sewer, and electric (20, 30, & 50 amp service); Washer/Dryer; Volunteer uniforms; Training; Volunteer assignments to suit volunteers’ interests and skills. What the volunteer provides: 24 hours/week for couple; 32 hours/week for single; their own RV; Be flexible and easy going; Hard working; Willing to perform duties as assigned.
