The primary responsibility of a Campground Host is the daily operations of the campground, i.e. greeting guests, providing information about the campgrounds and facilities, daily maintenance, cleaning, and enforcing the Lazy Days Campground Rules and Regulations and Fee Collection.
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Valid Driver’s License required. Background Check required. Previous camping experience preferred.
Ability to provide suitable, season-long, onsite accommodation at the campground (your own camper) * Note that Camp Hosts are required to continuously camp on site.
This position involves clerical duties such as keeping records, documenting activities, handling money, and using a cash register. The Host must be observant of activities within the campground requiring immediate attention and communicate issues to the management. Read, interpret and apply policies and procedures, and follow instructions. Should be able to troubleshoot and prioritize. Hosts must always maintain safe working habits. You will not be asked to perform a task that is inherently unsafe or that you are not adequately been trained to perform.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with other campers and employees. Be punctual, honest, trustworthy, and possess good judgment. Ability to communicate effectively required.
Possess the ability to multi-task, work independently as well as work with others. Must be able to work with diverse public and to provide quality customer service.
Must have a neat and clean personal appearance, with a hygienic approach to personal care. Campground Hosts must set an example by being model campers and always maintaining a neat and clean site and by observing all rules and regulations. Drug use is prohibited.
