Come spend the summer at beautiful Diamond Lake, Oregon helping visitors!

 

Located across the road from historic Diamond Lake Campground, the Diamond Lake Info Center is looking for a few good people to volunteer this summer. The Info Center is open 7 days a week, 9am to 5pm. Volunteers will welcome visitors, answering questions about the local area, reminding visitors of campground rules such as keeping campsites clean and leashing pets, and communicating visitor conflicts to Forest Service (FS) staff. Other duties involve helping with occasional needs such as picking up litter, restocking toilet paper, and communicating maintenance problems with FS staff. Restrooms are cleaned by a contractor but volunteers help Forest Service staff monitor the condition. Watering of vegetation in front of center as well as housekeeping (vacuuming, restocking of brochures, etc.) duties. Volunteer must be able to bend, lift and walk comfortably. Ability to use tools such as rakes, brooms, pruners, and shovels is preferred, but not required.
