DESCRIPTION:
“The host will perform public relations, minor repairs, lawn maintenance, and janitorial services on recreational site listed in Section I. Perform tasks as stated in Section II. There will be the need for additional days of services for Holidays listed in Section III. Hosts must have a friendly, helpful manner and enjoy dealing with a variety of people. They should have some familiarity with the natural environment of the campgrounds and be able to share this basic knowledge with visitors.
The contractor shall provide all labor and services necessary to perform campground host maintenance services on the Oconee Ranger District, Lake Sinclair Recreation Site. These provided services will be in accordance with the Statement of Work, and the terms and conditions of this resultant contract.
Campground hosts (host) will furnish sufficient transportation to the Lake Sinclair Recreation Area. The host will make inspection tours of the entire campground, picnic area, every two to four hours, depending on visitation. Any vehicle used to patrol the recreation site must be in accordance with state laws. The host will also furnish sufficient living accommodations to be housed on-site for an extended period of time.
Campground hosts will also check for fee compliance and note non-compliance. Hosts that note non-compliance should notify Forest Protection Officers (FPOs) and/or Law Enforcement Officers (LEOs). Hosts will also be required to perform janitorial services for the restroom facilities on-site, which will include; cleaning the partitions, toilets, mirrors, showers, sweeping, mopping, replenishing toilet paper and paper towels, emptying garbage and replacing garbage bags. The host will also perform lawn maintenance duties, as needed including; mowing, weed-eating and blowing. The host will perform basic campsite maintenance, including, minor repairs, trash pick-up, and grill cleaning.
Additional guidance and training scenarios will be discussed during campground host training.
Service Contract
This Host assignment has the option of hosting with or without a Service Contract. The level of landscaping and janitorial duties as described above is what determines the terms of the service contract, summarized below….”
