Volunteer Activities• Campground Host • Trail/Campground Maintenance • Visitor Information Photo Courtesy of FS DescriptionThis is an outreach for the Co-Host position at Flanner’s Beach Campground located outside of New Bern, North Carolina. Located on the banks of the Nuese river and a few miles for historic downtown New Bern this is a great place to live and work.The responsiblities for this position include; Cleaning and restocking restroom facilities. Grounds keeping at day use area (including zero turn mower operation, weed whipping, raking, and litter collection.) Removing trash from receptacles. Open and Close day use area based on established hours. Address visitor questions and concerns. Assist in reservations. Co-hosts are expected to work a minimum of 30 hours a week. The Co-host is given a reimbursement of $50 a month, and an RV site to live on while serving. Applicant must provide their own camper or RV.
