DESCRIPTION:

Campground hosts are the primary point of contact for campers. Duties include public contacts, fee reminders, rule reminders, light grounds maintenance, garbage collection, use tracking, and restroom cleaning.

This posting is for three different campground host positions:

Bark Camp Campground: opportunity from May 23- October, 2nd, 2021
Cave Springs Campground: opportunity from May 23- October, 2nd, 2021
High Knob Campground: opportunity from July 10- October, 2nd, 2021
Campground hosts are the public face of the Forest Service and represent the agency for all visitors. Host positions are necessary to ensure visitors have an enjoyable time by making sure facilities are in clean and in good condition, and to provide a friendly face and information for visitors during their stay.

**RV/camping trailer is required for Bark Camp and Cave Springs Campgrounds. A cabin is provided for High Knob Recreation Area.

 

DUTIES
Daily cleaning of restrooms, garbage collection, fee reminders, public contacts and use tracking. Grounds and facility maintenance activities, other than the daily activities listed, occur on an as needed basis.

QUALIFICATIONS
Positive Attitude and desire to talk to people are a must. Experience with lawn maintenance and trade skills is a plus.
