DESCRIPTION:
Allatoona Lake- Corps of Engineers- is seeking volunteer Day Use Park Hosts for the Summer 2021 season.
USACE seeking Volunteer Park Hosts at 3 Day Use Areas around Allatoona Lake for Summer 2021. Positions are available at Cooper’s Furnace, Victoria Day Use, and Sweetwater Day Use. Positions available for individuals and two-person teams. Schedules vary.
DUTIES
Each position will require the Park Host to work some weekends and holidays. Park Hosts will be working with the general public and USACE staff. While the majority of work will be done inside a gatehouse, Park Hosts will also be responsible for patrolling the park periodically to check for parking, general rule compliance, vandalism, and maintenance needs. Other duties will include opening and closing gates, assisting visitors with the automated fee machine, redeeming annual passes, and managing shelter reservations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have own RV, full hookup site provided.
A campsite with electricity (50 amp), water, and sewage will be provided in exchange for a 20/25 hour work week.
