DESCRIPTION:
Assistant to Forest Service seasonal employee at Visitor Center located on Black Mesa Ranger district in Overgaard, AZ.
Professionally represent the U.S. Forest Service by providing information, and interpretation to visitors; inform visitors of camping and sight-seeing opportunities; distribute maps and brochures as requested;
Working 32 hours a week on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, assisting a seasonal employee at the district’s Visitor Center. Duties include providing directions to visitors, answering conservation education questions, light maintenance, answering questions about developed and dispersed campsites on the district, handing out maps and brochures along with other duties.
Ability to provide quality customer service to communicate and interact effectively and respectively with a great diversity of people; to read maps and provide directions and to deal effectively with high volume situations.
