RV SITE: SITE DETAILS: Trailer/RV PadsDescription: The Corps of Engineers will provide a 50-amp site (with water & electric hook-ups only) during their commitment to our team in exchange for a minimum of 20 hours per week. Loaner tote-tanks and free access to the on-site dump station are provided for dumping grey/ black water, however volunteers must own self-contained RV.
Volunteer Activities• Campground Host • Other • Trail/Campground Maintenance • General Assistance DescriptionPark Host/High View Park: Volunteer Duties: Provide hospitality and customer service to park guests, assisting in the cleaning/upkeep of park facilities and promoting safe responsible use of Corps of Engineer amenities. Duties include, upkeep of campsites, shelters and other areas within the park as needed. Duties may also include assisting Gate Attendants with check-ins/check-outs, assisting guests with questions, and communicating park rules. As part of our team, we want members to provide valuable information on how to improve our parks and headquarters office by maintaining open communication with Rangers and Managers, passing on ideas for improvement gathered during daily contact with visitors. Special Skills: A Positive attitude and outgoing personality with a desire to work as part of a team focused on achieving goals. Our ideal candidate will have most of the following: Customer Service, desire to meet and interact with persons from varied backgrounds. Previous outdoor recreation & RV experience. Physical ability to navigate and visit campsites, remove litter/debris, lift 20lbs and carry 25ft (Position may require extended periods in the outdoors during adverse conditions such as heat, cold or rain.) Requirements: This position is a minimum of 3 months (June through August 2019). Applicants available to work through the duration of the summer recreation season (September 31,2019) will be given preference. There is flexibility but please contact Bardwell Volunteer Coordinator () prior to applying should you have scheduling conflicts or questions. Those volunteers looking for year-round work will be considered first for this position. This facility is open year-round.
