DEPT: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
DATES: 4/19/2021 – 4/19/2022
DESCRIPTION:
Town Bluff Project seeking to fill several positions to assist with visitor assistance and park operations
The primary duty of a Park Host volunteer is to perform daily customer service and park operation duties. Volunteers must be willing to work in all weather conditions and have communication and customer service skills. Volunteers may serve the entire recreation season, based on the needs of each location. The volunteer may be required to lift up to 40 lbs., walk for extended periods of time, and pick up trash in the parks. In many cases Park Hosts are the first contact the public has with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. A Park Host volunteer will provide hospitality and customer service to park guests, assist in cleaning/upkeep of park facilities, and promoting safe responsible use of U.S. Army Corps of Engineer amenities. Complete rounds through the park to ensure compliance with park rules and regulations and provide on-site reports to the Park Rangers. A full hook-up campsite is reserved at no charge for Park Host volunteers during their commitment to the Town Bluff Project. Volunteers selected for this position who wish to receive a campsite in return for volunteer service hours (minimum 20 hours/week) will be provided a campsite with water, electric, and if available, sewer.
