Potable water is not available in campground, but is available at the Ranger Station 6 miles away and a large water filter is available for use. There is no electricity at this site.

There are 17 campsites irregularly spaced along a wooded campground loop. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring with a grill, parking spur with space for two cars, and a gravel tent pad. There are two barrier-free vault toilets. Although there is no drinking water available, water can be boiled or filtered from a nearby stream. There is a recycling and trash station at the end of the campground loop. The nearest available shopping is in Rochester, located 6 miles from the campground. Duties: Greet visitors and inform them of rules, regulations, and other pertinent information about the area. Post new campsite reservations and remove postings from expired reservations. Ensure fee envelopes are available at all times and signs are posted and clear. Report problems, violations, or hazards to Forest Service staff in a timely manner. Daily cleaning and maintenance to include cleaning and raking campsites, removing ashes and trash from fire rings, making sure vault toilets are swept and stocked with toilet paper and minor litter pick-up throughout the campground. Other duties may include staining or painting, cutting back brush and assisting Forest Service personnel with larger projects. Host duties are required 5 days/week. Benefits: Forest Service will provide a campsite with a fire ring, necessary training for the position, partial uniform, FS radio and tools for season. Length of season: Chittenden Brook Campground is open from Memorial Day through Columbus Day. The host position should run from at least Memorial Day through Labor Day, but could go through Columbus Day if interested.
