JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Campground Manager, the Campground Host will be
available from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, must plan, organize, direct, and
coordinate all aspects of the Campground. Maintaining the grounds of the campground. Friendly,
professional attitude always required. Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Neat
clean appearance is a must.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Knowledge of campground operations.
- Valid Class D Driver’s License is required, must be insurable.
- Computer experience required.
- Good communication skills.

- Ability to physically get out and make rounds throughout the campground area.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet and assist visitors, answer questions, and explain regulations. Assist with camper reservation process. Keep a report of occupied or vacant campsites. Distribute maps, campground rules. Assist campers in locating a RV site. Inform incoming campers where family or friends are located. Be familiar with local points of interest and the location of services that might be requested by campers such as towing, groceries, churches, local events.
- Perform light maintenance work around the Campground such as litter pickup, trimming or weeding, cleaning, and stocking of restrooms and laundry room, provide information to Campground manager on potential problems, and disseminate information to campers.
- Clean RV sites and camp sites by performing minor maintenance tasks such as raking the campsite pad, cleaning tables, cleaning out fire rings and picking up litter. Report any damage to the supervisor. Each site must be cleaned after every camper checks out and before another camper checks in.
- Host shall not attempt to discipline or apprehend any campground violators. Host will report all disturbances to Campground Manager or Casino Security. You are to inform campers of rules and regulations but are not to participate in any high-risk activity. Host must set an example by being a model camper always practicing good housekeeping in and around their assigned site and by observing all rules and regulations.
- Host is expected to work most weekends and holidays during their term. Be observant for activities within the campground requiring immediate attention ranging from a tree needing to be trimmed to a problem camper. Notify the Campground Manager as these problems arise.
- Keep a written report of complaints and criticism of park facilities, report situations that could affect the health and safety of visitors and report any maintenance items which need immediate attention. Maintain other written records as requested by the Campground Manager.
- May assist in campground public relations, educational activities, and special events/activities.
- Be prepared to provide campground coverage at any hour, day &/ night.
- May be assigned other duties and projects not listed.
Working Conditions:Work is mostly outside in hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions. Walking is required.
Must reside within the campground.
Benefits:
The use of a RV site and utilities an no charger (10 hours a week) of work per month for
the duration of the term service.
Time Commitment:
30 hours per week to include most weekends and holidays. The breakdown of hours is as
follows, 18-20 paid plus 10 hours per week for RV site.
Items provided by Host:
Mobile camping unit. (RV or Trailer)
