RV SITE: SITE DETAILS: OtherDescription: Limited housing is available for non-local volunteers that work at least 35 hours per week on a first come first served bases. Housing cannot be guaranteed.RV pad with water, electric and Wi-Fi Campsite with water, electric and Wi-Fi VIP House – a shared three-bedroom house with two single occupancy rooms, and one double occupancy room. It also has a shared kitchen, dining and living room area, one and one-half bathroom, a television, DVD player, washerand dryerQradruplex Apartment Unit- double occupancy one bedroom apartment with two twin beds, shared kitchen, living room with dining table and chairs, and shared laundry facilities in each unit.
Volunteer Activities• Computers • Office/Clerical • General Assistance DescriptionMain Job Tasks and Responsibilities Takes and delivers telephone messages for the staff and answers routine inquiries Updates manuals and paperwork as directed by supervisors Records and files information as directed Monitors stock levels of a variety of office supplies Runs copy machine Updates spreadsheets as directed by supervisors. (radon hours) Performing work such as preparing, receiving, reviewing, and verifying documents Maintaining office records; locating and compiling data or information from files Compiling information for reports Education and Experience Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment. Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management Key Competencies Communication skills – written and verbal Pplanning and organizing Prioritizing Problem assessment and problem solving Information gathering and information monitoring Attention to detail and accuracy Flexibility Adaptability Customer service orientation Teamwork Requested Volunteer Hour Contribution 24 per week is ideal! (minimum of 8 hours necessary) Uniform Requirement The incumbent will be provided with an NPS Volunteer shirt and hat which will need to be paired with dress pants or khakis. Housing Housing cannot be guaranteed, as space is limited. Beds are assigned on a first come first served basis. If available, volunteers are required to work a minimum of 35 hours per week.
