Elevation: 10,300 feetIndividuals clean the restrooms and help around the area as needed throughout the summer.
Empty trash around the area as needed. Help with weekend parking and traffic direction. May help with some maintenance duties.4 host couples and the Area Managers live at the Welcome Center and care for the 4 Day Use Areas, Trailhead Parking and provide maintenance for the area. BLRA is a multi-faceted area. The principal activities are camping, day use, fishing, and hiking. Brainard Lake itself has a road around it that provides access to many different trail heads. With a special permit hikers can stay out for overnight. Parking lots get very busy. In addition to the multiple parking areas for the various activities we have a large (165 site) parking area outside the Welcome Center to accommodate overflow, and stage those wishing to enter. On any given weekend we will have between 300 to 500 vehicles.This is a very intense, hyper-active, well utilized facility on the front range.
