DESCRIPTION: Seeking to fill vacant park host positions for the summer and fall of 2021. Positions available at many different parks.
The primary duty of the Park Host position is to ensure the campgrounds are in the best possible condition and that users have an enjoyable experience. The position is required to work a minimum of 20 hours a week, with some weekend work. Assist visitors with questions and complaints. Make water safety presentations and hand out water safety items. Conduct weekly inspections of park facilities and report in writing any maintenance issues to the maintenance staff. Remove litter and clean facilities as needed to supplement cleaning contracts. Inspect facilities and signs for deterioration and replace signs as needed. Maintain all display boards, keeping a fresh and clean appearance. Conduct other various duties as needed.
Required to interact with visitors and other volunteers. Must keep a clean and neat site. RV and cars must be in running, road worthy conditions. Lawn maintenance and cleaning involved. Litter pickup.
Visitor/people skills required. Must be able to communicate in a professional manner. Basic computer skills required. Knowledge of the campground. Must be able to clean facilities and pick up litter. Must be able to operate a lawn mower.

Most of the work occurs outside. An AC gatehouse is provided along with an electric golf cart to get around.
