DESCRIPTION:
Volunteer team needed for general volunteer work.
Carters Lake seeks volunteer team for conducting various work around the lake, both new projects and maintenance projects. Volunteers may conduct some work inside, but much will be conducted outside. Should expect a wide range of tasks, to include some trash collection and minor cleaning.
Minimum of 20 hours up to 25 hours of work per week for this site.
DUTIES
Tasks will vary, but may include some minor construction and repair work, assisting with interpretive projects, assisting with the hunting program, assisting other volunteers with specific programs, some office/clerical assistance, painting, rotating trash/cleaning duty (possible). Volunteers should not rely on availability of certain tasking as jobs will vary.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be adult and capable of lifting at least 30lbs or more, knowledge of or willingness to learn how to use power tools, ability to navigate terrain safely, capable of talking to the public a plus, teaching/educational background a plus, general knowledge of carpentry/construction a plus, hunting experience a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Working with park rangers, administrative staff, other volunteers, or independently. Will be a combination of indoor and outdoor work, but more outdoor.
