Job Description
Do you love fishing, hiking, riding ATVs and living in a beautiful mountain setting? This job is for you. Lake John Resort is looking for a workamping couple for the 2022 season. (May through September or October) We are a RV and cabin resort. We are located 17 miles west of Walden, CO at 8200’ in a beautiful valley that backs up to Mount Zirkel wilderness. Lake John is your front yard with an amazing panoramic view of the mountains and has great trout fishing. There are lots of rivers and lakes to fish in the area and antelope, deer, elk and moose to watch and enjoy and lots of mountain hiking. We are about an hour east of Steamboat Springs and 3 hours west of Ft. Collins and Denver.
Our workamping couple’s duties will include, but not be limited to, housekeeping, outdoor maintenance, bagging ice, bundling firewood, working in the general store, answering the phone, making reservations, checking guests in, ordering & receiving stock and stocking the store. Experience with Campgroundmaster and customer service is a huge plus. Being able to work with excel spreadsheets and order online is desirable.
The weekly schedule will be 20-25 hours a week per person. You will be paid monthly for all hours worked and minus rent for your FHU site, hourly rate and rent to be determined based on experience. We have WIFI, cell service and laundry facilities.
