DESCRIPTION:

Campground Host position at Stubblefield Lake Recreation Area and Cagle Recreation Area on the Sam Houston National Forest

 

Campground Host(s) positions at Cagle Recreation Area and Stubblefield Lake Recreation Area on the Sam Houston National Forest. Positions are needed year round. Recreation area is located near New Waverly, Texas.

DUTIES

Campground host are expected to work a minimum of 24 hours a week. A host can work more if they would like. It is expected that work and any time off is coordinated with other hosts and with the Recreation Technician.

  • Duties with Visitors:
    • Check in visitors and provide information and assistance to campers. If necessary assist visitors on how to fill out pay envelopes correctly.
    • Prepare attendance reports.
    • Enforce rules and regulations of campground.
  • Campground Maintenance:
    • Clean bathrooms in the morning and evening as needed due to use. (Under COVID-19 procedures, currently this is being completed by contractors)
    • Pick up any trash or other refuse around the campground and boat dock area.
    • Clean ash and other debris out of fire rings after camper leaves and before a new camper comes to camp.
    • Blow leaves off of campsite parking area, tent pads, and roads.
